Thirteen Years, Lions Lose Again at Green Bay
Thirteen years. Thirteen years. (Read as Kayne West’s song Gold Digger.)
The Detroit Lions lost again in the state of Wisconsin to the Green Bay Packers 16-13 in OT. Detroit has not gone on the road and beaten the Packers since 1992.
Jeff Garcia was amazing. He yelled at his teammates, he threw passes behind and over the receivers and even better he was stopped on fourth and inches trying to score a touchdown on a QB sneak. Great job.
Dre Bly was awesome too. He didn’t make any glaring mistakes, which is exactly what you want out of a big time playmaker.
Two of the biggest douche-bags in pro football stated they would have won the game, but Joey Harrington screwed it up.
“I mean things would be different if Joey hadn’t wore a blue coat on the side-line,” Garcia explained. “I mean we spent all that money for black uniforms and he wore the traditional blue jacket. Did I mention I’m awesome? My wife will call and tell 1270 AM tomorrow if you didn’t know that.”
“You know, he got a good man fired,” Bly stated. “Then he still shows up and stands on the side-line. If he wasn’t there, wow, we would have won. I mean think about it, we called heads and then the coin landed and it was tails. That’s on Harrington.”
Detroit plays their home finale against Cincinnati (10-3) next week. The Bengals have won three straight, including a last second field goal against Cleveland in a 23-30 victory.
Garcia said, “We’ll come out and play hard next week. If I’m the quarterback you can expect me to do the things I need to do to put our team in a position to win. As long as Harrington doesn’t screw things up on the side-line we’ll be all right.”

All I can say is sweet Red Zone offense. Absolutely sweet.
I blame it on the play calling, the offensive line not getting a push, Jeff Garcia for being a douche-bag, and running backs with no sense.
Lets run the ball up the middle, like 8 times in the Red Zone, getting stuffed every time becaus ethe offensive line ate too many Bon-Bons before the game and were sluggish.
Better yet, Lions fans, lets blame the referees for not scoring a single point. Let's face it, it definately WAS a hold in the end zone! They played it over and over. Over and over it was evident. It would have been Lions 15-13 getting the ball back late in the 4th. Even though we got the shaft, we didn't deserve to win. It was probably Joey Harrington's fault.
Zero points in the second half. 6 points off of two 1st and goal drives in the first half. Pathetic.
The Lions have gotten to a point where they are funny to me. I can only laugh at this awful, awful team. And I have to wonder if there really is a coach who can come in and change it around.
Go Pistons!
It is beyond putting on a coach. It is time to put the GM on the chopping block.
GO PACK GO!
i'm assuming mrs. bbomes is mandi. i agree. fu pro football. but i will never say go irish.
bbomes you're right. the lions could use andy freese. you know who else they could use? the three time coach of the year in ncaa football: otto blotto
jon you're right too. millen needs to go. anyone would be better than him.
emily you have gained wisdom since your graduation from college. the lions are a joke. there isn't a coach in the world you can change this team, save otto blotto.
sorry brooke, this win puts the reggie bush sweepstakes out of reach for your packers.
boo packers for losing out on reggie bush.
hooray packers for beating the lions
