Random Thoughts for 12/04/05

Joey Harrington is better than Jeff Garcia. He could have easily put up the same numbers as Garcia did today. Garcia was 17/35 (49%) for 126 yards and an interception, which was the final offensive play for the Lions today. If he had placed the ball better, Roy Williams may have been able to score a touchdown and the Lions could have won. At halftime he was 8/17 for 22 yards. The Lions had 33 yards of offense at half time. 33 yards! 33 yards! Harrington could have gotten at least 34 yards.

How’d your boy do today Dre Bly? Are you sure it’s all Harrington’s fault you moron. How’d your secondary do? What? 80 yard TD pass on the Vikings first play from scrimmage. Yeah, sweet. Was that Harrington’s fault to you f**king douche-bag.

I hate the Lions. (See above two random thoughts.)

Sometimes my random thoughts are actually not too random and frustrate me. (See above three random thoughts.)

Jon don’t be mad at me about supporting Harrington. (This thought is connected to all the other ones, making these thoughts less and less random.)

Stop Snowing.

Ned’s In Town is the best sound check band I have ever heard. I’ll finish this story in a later blog, just like Ned’s In Town finished their songs during their sound check.

It’s nice to see DJ have a new blog. He’s good at writing. DJ should do more.

Why does an 8-4 Florida State get an automatic bid to a BCS bowl game, while Oregon, The OSU and Notre Dame have to fight over two at large bids? Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Notre Dame doesn’t deserve to go over Oregon or The OSU, but certainly is more deserving than FSU. Bobby Bowden is the devil…or close to it.

The big blue beast of a bridge on I-94 in Taylor, Mi that overpasses Telegraph Rd. is obtuse.

New Year’s Eve in M-town? Why not.

I don't quite understand New Year's Eve in M-Town. Interesting.....What does that entail?

Drinking. Drinking. Saying things you can never take back. Drinking. Trying to make out with girls you shouldn't/ wouldn't want to make out with. Eating Denny's. Drunk dialing someone you shouldn't drunk dial. Trying to make out with a dude you shouldn't/ wouldn't want to make out with. Passing out somewhere. Waking up. Spending the next two weeks trying to forget a night you can't really remember.

So is this Monroe New Year's really going to happen? I'm all for it. I can only think of a few more places I'd rather spend New Years Eve, but my bank account doesn't really allow for that.

I still am confused. I don't know why? Can we all wear Hawaiian shirts at least?

Are establishments going to be open on New Year's? M-Town isn't normally catering to things like that.

Making out sounds good. Whatever. Drunk dialing. Bad.

We will see what happens, I guess.

I'll be up for Hawaiian shirts. In my opinion, the cheesier the better. As long as I avoid martinis I should be ok.

i'm not too sure what new year's in monroe is like. i haven't been there in over five years.

i imagine there will be a lot of dumbasses out.
i imagine we will eat dinner some where.
i imagine we will have a few beverages b/f we go out.
i imagine we will get drunk at a bar.
i imagine we will get a little rowdy.
i imagine we will all need a taxi ride to our final destination for the night.
i imagine all the people living in harmony.

you may say i'm a dreamer. but i'm not the only one.

We were also patrons at the best sound check band ever Ned's Back in Town or in town, we can't remember but he is doing something in the freaking town. His cover of John Cougar Mellencamp/John Cougar/John Mellancamp were the greatest we had heard in a long time. If only we could have heard the end of the songs...

jon, like george micheal once said "you gotta have faith"... drunken ideas are the best (most of the time) but this could a classic new years we'll all never forget.. and if it isn't then we will make it one and learn that m-town isn't the place for new years

i too wish i could have heard the end of "the cougar's" song.

ned's in town had a great set-up. the bass player stood out in the middle of the restaurant. the guitar player only played when he got to do a kick arse solo or sing harmony and the rhythm guitar player jammed on his acoustic the whole time.

we did get to hear one full song. i think it was the eagles. i'm not sure.

Andy, I've been thinking about a party at my place for New Years. I had one a few years back that was pretty rockin', (ask chris and catherine)so hopefully this will entail the same sort of thing. Same thing... meaning keg beer, lots of shots, random crappy and good mp3 music, and the usual tom foolery. Everyone is invited. EVERYONE. Jon, Emily, DJ, Jenny, and anyone else who reads this.

Sorry about the sporadic comments but i'm in a transition between two internet companies at home and haven't had the internet in two weeks. The only time i have online now is @ work and it's very "read and run." I try to get on and read yours, Jon's and DJ's all the time even if i don't comment often. So that being said...

yeah.

You know.
