Kenny Anderson Owes Me an Apology

Dear Kenny Anderson,
You hurt my feelings. You don’t know me and you don’t know you ruined my sleepover at Nick Grego’s house, but you and your Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were cheaters.

You made a basket against Michigan State in the 1990 Sweet Sixteen to send the game into overtime. Your team prevailed in the extra session 81-80.

However, when you shot the ball there was no time left on the clock. Therefore, your shot should not have counted and the Spartans should have gone to the Elite Eight, not your stupid Yellow Jackets.

Now the Yellow Jackets visit the Breslin Student Event Center. I hope MSU erases the fifteen years of anguish I have lived in because of that shot. I think the Spartans will and I think your Yellow Jackets are dumb.

You’re a cheater Kenny Anderson and you made Nick and me very sad. I hope you make a national apology during the half-time festivities. I haven’t talked to Nick in a couple of years, but I’m sure he feels the same way.

P.S. I haven’t been living in anguish for fifteen years solely because of that shot. There are some other disappointments in my life, but that shot still upsets me.

P.S.S. I’m sorry for calling you a cheater. You’re probably a great human being, but you lied about making that shot. Watch the replay. The game was over.

Whatever comes after P.S.S. It’s a good thing you didn’t play for Weber State because then you would have hurt my little sister’s feelings and then I’d have to beat you up.
