One More Reason to Watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Demetri Martin, one of today's brightest and most talented young comics, has now been added to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in a segment called "Trend Spotting."
Tonight's Trend Spotting sequence concerned the increasing popularity with people under 25 drinking wine. Although Martin looked a little awkward in his debut on the Daily Show, his comedy was excellent.
He stated 98% of all people less than 25 y/o drink two glasses of wine a night. "Although that statistic was made up, it's probably true," he explained.
He also asked a woman, "What wine would you drink if you were lost on a peninsula?" She asked, "Can you be lost on a peninsula." "I guess you could be if you had a bad sense of direction," he replied.
He also informed everyone to drink red wine with meat, white wine with pasta and vegans are not humans. He also explained that wine coolers are not cool, they are just gay wine.
Adding Martin to this experienced cast of fake news reporters makes the Daily Show even better than it was.
